Sima Ladjevardian Raises More than $540,000 in Q2 -- Recording-Breaking Haul for Crenshaw Challenger
July 15, 2020
HOUSTON, Texas -- Today, the Sima for Texas campaign announced Ladjevardian raised $541,284 in the second quarter of 2020. Ladjevardian has raised more than $1.6 million for the cycle — outraising the 2018 Democratic nominee’s entire eighteen-month haul in merely six months.
After entering the race on the day of the filing deadline, Ladjevardian’s campaign earned an impressive 9,403 individual donations from nearly 5,000 donors, now entering the third quarter with more than $545,000 cash on hand.
“After entering this race at the eleventh hour before the filing deadline, Sima has built unprecedented grassroots momentum heading into the third quarter,” Ladjevardian campaign manager Hilary Borris said. “As a breast cancer survivor and small business owner, Sima understands that high quality, affordable health care is on the ballot this November for all our Texas families. As COVID-19 ravages Houston, Congressman Crenshaw is more focused on cutting health care for millions of Texans, spreading dangerous disinformation, and advocating for his corporate special interests than protecting his most vulnerable constituents — and the voters will hold him accountable this November.”
