DAN IN DENIAL: Houston ICUs Breach Capacity as Crenshaw Spreads Deadly Disinformation
July 1, 2020
HOUSTON, Texas -- Today, Houston-area ICUs exceeded 102 percent capacity, according to the Texas Medical Center. Sima Ladjevardian, Democratic nominee for Texas’ 2nd Congressional District, issued the following statement:
“Today, we watched in horror as hospitalizations breached the capacity of Houston ICUs. I cannot sit idly by while Dan Crenshaw continues his disinformation tour and endangers our families with outright lies. While Crenshaw gaslights his constituents, thousands of Houstonians are flooding our medical system and struggling to breathe. The more Dan talks, the less safe this community is. We need an advocate for public health who will listen to the experts and do everything possible to alleviate this pain. Instead, we have Dan Crenshaw — a power-craven enabler who undermines the most basic facts and feeds the fire of this already-tragic pandemic. Enough is enough.”
Yesterday, the Sima for Texas campaign unveiled a new digital video attacking Congressman Dan Crenshaw for spreading disinformation and endangering the health of Texas families. The video — “Dan in Denial” — features a compilation of Crenshaw’s most damaging comments in direct contrast to the advice of public health experts and state officials.
